Long-distance truck drivers in Russia are protesting against higher toll pass prices. As usually happens in Russia, the protest immediately turned to a discussion of the evil nature of Jews.
“We are always told that criminals don’t have ethnicity,” a worker organizer says. “But we know that’s not true! All criminals are Jews! . . We love out President Putin so much that words can’t explain the depth of our love for him! But that doesn’t help!”
These truck drivers are in Dagestan, the region of Russia that has already provided ISIS with over 10,000 eager fighters. (Who fight on the side of ISIS, in case there are naive fools here who honestly believe the “Putin helps battle ISIS” narrative.)

This is one of those ridiculous analogies that are evidence of an impotent mind.
Besides, all of a sudden everybody is super sympathetic to the Jewish suffering in the Holocaust. It stands to reason that sympathy for Israel should be on the rise, too, but that’s not happening.
I’m truly disgusted.

Have you read the article? I have and it has interesting facts about American view of Jews before, during and after WW2. Some parts of analogy did seem suiting, so I wondered whether and how you would react to them.

I don’t read the strained analogy between the Holocaust and the (mostly Muslim) refugees as showing a renewed concern for Jews at all.
It’s simply another way for the “progressive” Left to guilt-trip white (mostly Christian) Western countries for supposedly “oppressing” the down-trodden non-Western refugees.

The US was profoundly anti-Semitic on a very open and official level. In Canada, you could see signs “Jews and dogs not welcome” on stores.
