      1. I would never fabricate outright lies based on nothing but a thin sliver of wordplay, Clarissa.

  1. I guess their coffee is popular. I tried an iced vanilla coffee of theirs once and it was so sweet and chemical tasting I had to throw it out because I couldn’t drink it. I’ve always had a sweet tooth. I was that child who loved Halloween as a candy bonanza who snuck sugar from the sugar bowl. Blegh. I refuse to try their regular coffee.

It’s smart to focus on coffee because more people will drink a cup of coffee every day or several times a week than will eat donuts that often.

Their donuts, like most donut chains, are frozen and shipped into the store to be “baked”.

I had the exact same experience. Tried it once and couldn’t drink it at all precisely because of the chemical taste. The regular coffee is very unimpressive, too. I used to live right across a store and had their regular coffee all the time.

  2. A Polish friend I sometimes travel with loves their coffee (they left the Polish market though).

In Mallorca there was one that we went to every day, friend for the coffee and me for the rosquillas de limon (I’m usually kind of neutral about donuts but these were great).
