  1. I really like the ‘New Optimists” (first time I’ve heard them called that) analyses of humankind in 2017. I may be biased as a homosexual Eastern European Jew, but even the problems we have are not the problems that our ancestors though insolvable 200 years ago, e.g. starvation, infant mortality, etc.
