Have You Seen My Marbles?

Forget social media. Russia can have actual human beings walk into caucuses and sway voters to their preferred Democratic candidate. Which will surely be the one they’ve determined they can most easily destroy in the general.

And in what language will those sneaky Russians be doing that, exactly? Even my accent is nearly incomprehensible to the locals. Where would that army of fluently English-speaking Russian spies and agitators come from?

People are literally losing their marbles over this Russia conspiracy shit if even I say so.

  1. I’m sick of this whole ‘Russians influenced our election’ narrative. This was a two BILLION dollar election. Am I supposed to believe that $126,000 in facebook ads tipped the election in trump’s favor?

  2. People now assume that anyone who is stupid or anyone who disagrees with them is a right wing troll. These are prevalent on some social media sites and I’ve seen them (although I think most are American), but at this point people are in tin foil hat territory. And they also use this as a way of dismissing opinions they don’t like or that make them uncomfortable; I’ve been accused of spouting right wing talking points when I talk about the hateful attitude I see towards “white trash” in Democratic spaces. This is personal experience, it’s not some propaganda I’ve been sucked into!

Ever watch The Americans? Unrealistic action and (lack of) accents but great characters and drama

I thought those “actual human beings” would be Americans brainwashed by Russian propaganda, not Russians themselves.

Either brainwashed or paid money to sway voters.

    1. You can’t pay an American enough to go into a caucus. 🙂 They are usually quite poorly attended. 🙂 Plus, these Americans would have to register as Democrats, etc. Isn’t it easier just to buy a president and be done with it?

Actually, the more interesting post on Shakesville today is the one trashing Donna Brazile for stating in her new book how blatantly Hillary and the DNC rigged the Democratic primary against Bernie. (Apparently, McEwan hasn’t heard that Elizabeth Warren is now publicly stating the same thing.)

Yes, I know that the 2016 primary is very old news, and that the Democrats need to move on if they hope to make any gains in 2018 — but it’s amazing how desperately fanatical McEwan is about keeping Hillary in the spotlight, and insisting that she’s the purest saint in U. S. political history.
