    1. The famous Soviet pedagogue Makarenko, who rehabilitated thousands of kids with serious criminal backgrounds, said that the #1 thing was never to treat these kids as criminals or inmates. Only as human beings with a sense of dignity. So I guess your chair has very different pedagogical principles. 🙂

  1. I don’t know how alike parenting small children and controlling inmates is but I’m revulsed at the idea. Prison in America isn’t about rehabilitation for the most part.

  4. There are managers of government-subsidized housing units who seem to be adapting such types of despotic methods as well
    …including installation of surveillance cameras all over the premises.
