It’s weird but both N and I already feel super well-rested and refreshed after spending 2 hours in Florida. All we’ve done is get the suitcases, get the car, and drive to the hotel through the ridiculous traffic of the eternally broken Estero Boulevard.

(By the way, it now looks like they are building a pedestrian walkway right in the middle of the extremely narrow and crowded Estero. The walkway will separate the two traffic lanes. This is truly the most ridiculous transportation decision I’ve ever encountered.)

Still, we already feel so much better than at home. Florida is amazing. And I don’t even mind the total absence of snow.

  1. The red tide must have cleared up in the area. [Our area had red tide recently as six weeks ago — the actual beach was normal but when you walked to the northern edge you could smell the dead fish. It must be normal now since the area did have the Sand Sculpting festival last weekend.]
