So, who got the Oscars? Some ideological flick nobody wants to watch or finally an ok movie?

  1. Driving Mr. Daisy won, I haven’t seen it so no idea. Of course there is snowflake drama related to the fact that the winning movie wasn’t minority enough (winning a supporting actor and best picture wasn’t enough) or that it was not… woke enough for the snowflakes…. etc (snowflakes are addicted to misery and outrage and so their eruptions just kind of wash over me…)
    I’d like to see some of the movies, but am in no special hurry to…
    I’m especially curious about Roma (great topic though black and white is an odd choice for a country that vibrates color all over the place). I’m also intrigued that it was offered with Spanish subtitles in Spain (more than one Spaniard has told me of difficulties in understanding various Latin American varieties of the language).
    I might like to see the Favorite but the two younger leads look way too healthy for the time…
