I just counted, and it turns out I have 7 lighting fixtures with a total of 19 bulbs of different intensity and dimmability in my bedroom. It’s not a huge bedroom or anything. But I have light sensitivity, so I need to have full control of the lighting situation.
Klara shared with me that when she grows up she wants to have 4 babies: Klara, CeCe, Farmer Joe, and Acer.
CeCe is the baby in Doc McStuffins books, and Farmer Joe is a local farmer who comes to schools to teach kids about farming. Where she got Acer is a mystery.
Facts are helpless in the face of belief, especially belief of the partisan kind.
1) Camille Paglia should be removed from UArts faculty and replaced by a queer person of color. If, due to tenure, it is absolutely illegal to remove her, then the University must at least offer alternate sections of the classes she teaches, instead taught by professors who respect transgender students and survivors of sexual assault.
That is, swap a person with a name for a person with a certain type of sex life.
This is a Spanish politician during the speech where he declared the pressing need to “battle nationalism because it’s a cancer of Spain and Europe”:
His audience clapped, cheered, and waved… Spain’s national flags. Obviously, the nationalism the politician was trying to battle is not that of Spain. He was actually trying to defend Spanish nationalism by attacking the Basque nationalism.
The ignorance of what nationalism is has risen to incredible heights. Here is a guy who’s passionately defending nationalism by attacking it. Or, to give another example, if I were to say that Bernie has the most nationalist platform among all Dem contenders, people would think I’m trying to insult him.
“Take the government out of my welfare,” people say, and like Spanish politician ignore the contradiction.
