I really thought Titania McGrath was real. But it’s not because I’m stupid. It’s because I’m in academia, and the following was earnestly said to me by an ideology apparatchik:

If you don’t want to be censored, don’t say the wrong things. It really is that simple.

Or that whole thing about ignoring jury summons and mailing in a guilty verdict for white defendants and a not-guilty one for non-white defendants. It’s what we say in academia all the time.
