Abuse

I have no idea how anybody can think this is anything but child abuse.

That poor child.

  1. How much of this has to do with parents expecting some sort of very extreme gender identification, related to specific clothes? I don’t seem to remember all this extreme princess equipment, for instance. The parents were going for gender equality so all the possible clothes and toys were available to all the children, but the majority of these were more or less unisex — many toys and clothes actually are, you know, if you are not trying to go to an extreme either way. I went for all the girl stuff but could have gone for more neutral stuff, or even for boy stuff, without people thinking it meant I was going to actually turn into a boy. Am I being obtuse?
