Talking about social life, Klara’s is very busy. She has three birthday parties to attend next week. Two are on the same day but I accepted all invitations because I don’t feel it’s fair to make her choose. These are 4-year-olds. They don’t tend to be very discreet. Imagine her saying to a little friend, “Mommy told me to choose between Liam and you, and I chose Liam.”
Although not all parents are very discreet either. One mom saw me at pickup and informed me that she had already sent an email acknowledging our RSVP to “Klara’s mom.”
“Thank you, I got it,” I said, not wanting to belabor the issue.
“Ha ha, you read her emails!” the mom exclaimed.
“I’m Klara’s mom,” I said.
“What do you mean?” the woman kept insisting. “Ah! Oh! Really???”
“This is MY MOMMY!!!” Klara intervened.
The woman opened her mouth to keep debating the topic but we ran away.
