Suggestion for the Future

We are back from a 3-hour-long walk around our residential area, and I can say that if this quarantine continues, childhood obesity will be defeated. I’ve never seen this many kids outside, biking, playing sports, running, etc. It’s really amazing.

I think we need to reorient our entire lifestyle as a society so that people work more from home and kids roam outside more.

That’s doesn’t sound much like quarantine…. I’m going for daily walks as long as I can but I don’t touch anything and stay at least 3 meters from other people… often doing things like crossing the road or choosing paths to stay away. But kids tend to not be into social distancing…

  2. This is the #1 reason we homeschool. It seems so cruel to snatch away all the nicest hours of the day and shut the children indoors. Especially here in the subtropics, where the summers are unbearable. Plus (and perhaps it is different for other children– I’ve only taught my own), the boys are antsy and miserable if we start doing anything clerical before they’ve been out to run around a bit (like, say, when it’s raining).
