Cultural Perceptions

When Italians did it, it was spontaneous, believable, and cute.

But when the British do it, it’s calculated, strained, and vicariously embarrassing.

  1. While the Italians can sing Verdi, the Brits have “God Save the Queen” along with a really long list of atonal and arrhythmic drinking songs (‘Kiss me, I’m s***faced comes immediately to mind.)
