Quarantine Dilemma

I take long walks after putting my kid to bed. Five miles a day after sunset around our residential neighborhoods.

Right now I’m wondering. What reduces my chances of being shot by a nervous neighbor, wearing a bandana and looking like a possible robber or not wearing a bandana and looking like a potential COVID threat?

People are really REALLY jumpy around here.

  1. Nobody’s going to shoot you, so I don’t know why you’re afraid. I haven’t gone walking yet with a mask (I’m not touching anything but my own stuff, I don’t have a dog and I’m staying 6 feet away). I do big friendly waves when I see people, even if I have no idea who they are.

If you’re really paranoid, you can join/login to Nextdoor dot com and see what your neighbors are saying/complaining about. Now if you were wearing ski masks while out and about…. 😀 😀

    1. This is messing with people’s mental health. People are getting really jumpy and angry. Our area is already… not known for its friendliness, so to speak. And it’s getting worse.
