  1. My first thought was about human mortality and coronavirus statistics disagreeing with “age is just a number” statement, but then I continued reading after the colon and saw they ignore the opposite side of the age spectrum.

  2. When my sister witnessed a middle-aged male volunteer at drama camp getting all chummy with the teenage girls and saying, precisely: “Oh, age is just a number!”, she reported his creepy ass to the camp directors.

They said “oh, him? He’s fine! He’s just joking around!”

In this age of institutional-child-abuse-awareness and youth-safety seminars, why are so many people so oblivious to this?
