Rest My Mouth

Klara knows that when I eat, my mouth is occupied and I can’t read aloud or tell stories. As a result, I feel a profound need for a meal every 30 minutes.

If this goes on any further, I won’t be able to leave quarantine because I won’t fit through the door.

  1. Went the opposite way at our house: kids would not stop fighting at dinner, so now I read aloud to them while they eat. It makes dinnertime so much more peaceful, that it is no big deal that I can only sneak in a few bites while serving the plates. The kids, though– they go back for seconds and thirds just so I’ll keep reading. Perhaps I’ll lose the baby weight after all.
