Moving Goalpost

US needs to conduct 20 million coronavirus tests per day to fully reopen, Harvard report says https://t.co/uipMUpP9si https://t.co/iXAfZHxrYR

Meaning what? Never?

I thought it was about “flattening the curve” and “relieving the healthcare system.” The curve has been flattened, the hospitals are empty … and now there’s another goalpost? Which moves the end of quarantines into infinity?

Who’s funding these “Harvard reports”? What’s going on?

  1. Latest coronavirus news:

Also, Kim Jong Un is reportedly in poor condition following a heart surgery. It sounds like there is a good chance he won’t make it. Details unclear though.

    1. We already heard this a million times, and nothing ever came of it. Remember that executive order on anchor babies? It’s been about to be signed for three years.

  2. What’s going on is that the virus is so contagious that if there is no drug to treat it, it means that societies have to change to accomodate it, while if there is a drug to treat it, then societies may remain unchanged. Right now, there is no drug.

So, everyone in politics has to choose between being the bearer of bad news, and distracting everyone with hopeful sounding nonsense – hence the nonsense.

Btw the virus appears to be increasing in virulence.
