Six Months

I felt an uncontrollable need to take a holiday tomorrow. Stay in bed, eat steak, stay in bed some more. I’m not sick, I’m not tired. So why do I feel like staying in bed all day?

And suddenly I realized: tomorrow is exactly six months since our lockdown started. My mind knew even if I didn’t consciously remember.

Friends, for how much longer will we let them do this to us? When is it going to be enough? People are talking about it like it’s something completely out of their control.

“When things go back to normal… If it gets better… When it’s under control…”

It’s going to go back to normal whenever we decide that it must. There’s no magical fairy who will give us our freedom back.

  1. Yes so very true!! New normal will totally depend upon us…. How soon we mend our ways and follow life with precautions…. Virus is here to stay… We need to learn coherence with nature and promise not to mess up with wild……by the way six months lock up seems like a lifetime punishment…. Craving to be back to normal times…

  2. Biden announced today that his “legal team” has told him that, if elected, he has the authority to mandate nationwide wearing of face masks by executive order .

  3. Problem is:
We put, in control, in positions of authority, those who themselves believe in “magical fairies” and are awaiting some kind of collective “official word” that it’s “finally okay to resume some semblance of traditional existence”.
Hence, even if a private citizen is ready to finally “move on where they last left off” they’re still at the mercy of whatever decisions these “in control” types who believe in “magic fairies” make.
