Real Privilege

One day before the election, and nobody has the slightest idea who’s going to win. What a great country this is!

Being surprised by the results of an election is a great privilege, and I mean that in a good way.

  1. Absolutely! I grew up in a country where the only uncertainty about election results still is by how much the ruling party will win, despite all the corruption and scandals since the previous election. This is truly a magnificent privilege.

Just a pity that neither party could rustle up a decent candidate… I’d want to vote for the best candidate and policies, not merely against the least palatable.
