Anniversary

Today is the anniversary of the Socialist Revolution that culminated in the creation of the USSR, by the way. The revolution is 103 years old today.

I’m sure it’s just a coincidence that today is also the day when Joe Biden was universally canonized as a living saint by the news media everywhere.

      Good one! :-))))))))

Notice that none of the deliriously happy news media today are saying a single word about the actual policies that Biden plans to implement.

Now the only thing holding back the Socialist Democratic Revolution here in America is the chance that the Senate will retain its Republican majority in January after the two Georgia run-off senatorial elections.

My wife had CBC, the Canadian state broadcaster, playing in the background yesterday evening. It could have given state TV in a “one party democracy” anywhere in the world a run for its money with its fawning, slobbering, coverage of Dear Leader.

Completely airbrushed away was any mention of the various corruption scandals swirling around the Biden drain or any reference to the charges of massive electoral fraud that hang like a dark cloud over Biden’s electoral victory. Instead, we were treated to heartfelt man-on-the-street paeans of praise to Joe, who was held to be a humble and upright ‘son of Delaware.’ Trump’s 71 million voters were either unpersoned or cast as cranks/dupes while Trump himself loomed villainously offstage as a malevolent force.

All in all, it was the canonization of a living saint – 2020 as 1984.

  2. I wanted to mention this date yesterday too.

Yesterday I partly projected from Israel to US. For us, those issues are super relevant, while any ‘wokeness’ is not on the horizon at all.

Btw, some conservatives like Ross Douthat are optimistic:

(via Rod’s post) “Trump was at his most unpopular when he behaved grotesquely and ceded policymaking to the Republican old guard, so his would-be successors need to act less like tinpot tyrants, eschew the ranting and the insults, and also make good on some of the policy promises Trump left by the wayside. A populism 2.0 that doesn’t alienate as many people with its rhetoric, that promises more support for families and domestic industry, that accepts universal health care and attacks monopolies and keeps low-skilled immigration low, all while confronting China and avoiding Middle East entanglements and fighting elite progressivism tooth and nail — there’s your new Republican majority.”

    1. Honestly, it’s a waste of time. We’ll just have Google appoint our politicians for us from now on. It’s done. I don’t understand why people aren’t getting it. It’s done, it’s over, politics is dead. Nobody is even talking about punishing the digital oligarchy for its blatant interference in an election. From now on, they will get completely shameless. They shoved two empty figureheads into the WH. They won.

It’s like people are incapable of noticing that things change. This isn’t 1987.

      1. Respectfully, if what you’re saying about Google controlling everything is right, then it is perfectly possible that everyone is talking about punishing the digital oligarchy but you wouldn’t know due to them hiding it from you right now.

I call this “Schroedingers Digital Oligarchy” btw 🙂
