Cute, huh? Latino physicians, who can possibly be against that? Diversity! So great.
Of course, there’s a much more important thing about these “latino physicians.” One of them works for the CIA. She’s a high-ranking administrator at In-Q-Tel, a CIA front.
This is clearly more important for the public to know than that she’s a latina. But we are being trained like poodles to feel approval whenever a good identity category is mentioned.
What a great scam this is. You got every single person who’d be screaming to the skies about this 10 years ago to feel warm and fuzzy because the magic word has been uttered.
As usual, preparing tomorrow’s lecture on Peru caused me to develop an uncontrollable desire for a chupe de mariscos. So I ditched work and ran off to the grocery store.
I’ve been indexing since 8 am. I deserve a cooking vacation.
Once, we had a lot of leftovers so I didn’t cook after work.
“Are you OK, Mommy?” Klara asked. “Are you unwell? Why aren’t you cooking?”
That’s actually a brilliant idea. Make it 20% and I’m all in.
Latinos in Milwaukee voted 77% for Biden and in PA 82% for Biden.
The thing about Latinos is that they aren’t all the same. Believe my expertise as a scholar of Hispanic Studies. This is not a uniform group AT ALL. The Cubans and the Venezuelans in FL are, in terms of their politics, absolutely nothing like Central Americans, Puerto Ricans and Mexicans. These are very different people. They also have many things in common. But there are crucial differences.
Latin Americans do not give up on their century-long dream of socialism easily until they finally reach it and then sour on it. The US should have let them in peace during the Cold War to play it out and get fed up. But they didn’t and now the dream is as strong as ever.
“In 2016, real median household income was $62,898, just $257 above its level in 1999. Over the next three years it grew almost $6,000, to $68,703. That’s perhaps why, despite the pandemic, 56% of U.S. voters polled last month said their families were better off today than they were four years ago.”
This is what I voted for. But other people chose lockdowns, fear, neoliberalism, and mandatory struggle sessions.
Please read the article before commenting because I’m not in the mood for inane chirping about how this was somehow achieved by Obama’s weak economic team with a radically different policy.
Policy matters. This is why, for instance, Canada experienced the 2008 recession a lot more gently than we did. The only thing more pathetic than Obama’s economic policy was his foreign policy.
Whatever our problems are, it’s worse in Norway. People there face a year in jail for questioning gender dogma (e.g. that men have periods or that women have penises) in private. That’s right. Jail time for private statements that state scientific fact.
Not to worry, though. Mr Biden promised to make sure we bring these amazing victories of dogma over facts to this country. Now we will have something to do in our impending nationwide Biden-style lockdown. We will have the time to memorize gender dogma.
