If I weren’t Chair and didn’t have hiring authority, I’d be posting this on my social media. But I do have such authority. People are afraid of contradicting me lest I don’t choose to renew their contracts. This is why I’m not posting this where they hang out.

Why is this idea so alien to professors who inflict their political beliefs on students or administrators who fill LinkedIn with their political garbage?
