“So many people, so many people,” the men on DeSantis’s failed campaign rollout bleat impotently before cutting out for the fifteenth time.
It’s very embarrassing.
The announcement of Ron DeSantis’s presidential campaign on Twitter is an embarrassment of Soviet proportions. Nothing works. The feed cuts out constantly. There’s some guy with a speech impediment called David Sacks who’s doing a butt-licking spiel for Elon. Everything glitches.
That DeSantis doesn’t walk out 30 minutes into this poop show and change his strategy is a very bad sign. He comes off as subservient to a tech oligarch, weak, and not in control of his own campaign announcement.
While the US news are busy covering the critically important news about a couple of books in a Florida school being moved from the elementary to middle-school section, there’s finally a statement from the Russian guerrilla groups in English:

It’s incredible what kind of absolute silliness is being sold to us as news in the US.
The Russian guerrillas completed their operation in Belgorod and have returned to Ukraine. They have two lightly wounded soldiers and a lot of captured equipment. They are preparing their next incursion into Russia.
Right now, they are being interviewed by a group of journalists:

The video is in Russian but they are saying what I summarized here and in the previous post. They are referring to Russia as “our temporarily occupied homeland.”
It’s important to note that they didn’t kill any Russian civilians during their operation. They say they’ll shoot to kill if they are attacked but no civilians tried to mount any sort of defense. Russian border guards tried to resist but the guerrillas eliminated them.
I watched an interview with one of the Russian nationalists who have crossed into Russia and are fighting against the regular Russian army on the territory of the Belgorod Region.
The guy is a true nationalist. He’s very preoccupied with borders, mentions them constantly, and is shocked that the Russian border was completely unprotected even during a war in an area right next to where heavy fighting has taken place.
These nationalists are hated by the Russian anti-Putin liberals because they are very conservative and right-wing.
I’ve been observing the struggle of Russian nationalists against Putin since 2005, and it always seemed extraordinarily funny to me that Western media keep referring to Putin as a nationalist when Russian nationalists are literally the only people who have been waging an armed struggle against the Putin regime for almost 20 years.
The guerrilla leader I listened to yesterday has a very reasonable, consistent philosophy. These guerrillas are clearly deeply patriotic. When they took over a Russian border checkpoint, they saw a lot of new, expensive equipment simply abandoned. This absolute waste of what they see as their national resources is painful to them. Of course, they now took over the equipment and are using it to fight against the regime.
The guerrillas say they’ve been getting quite a few messages from the local young men who want to join them. They don’t expect their movement to become massive but they promise many exciting developments soon.
Of course, the actions of the guerrillas are a ploy by the Ukrainian armed forces to distract the Russian army and send it far from where Ukraine will go on the offensive.
I don’t watch or access Western media in any way so I have no idea how the nationalist guerrillas are being covered in the US or Western Europe. If you know, please share.
And by the way, about 10 minutes ago, the Russian nationalist guerrillas have shelled Russian propagandist journalists who arrived in Belgorod to film a news segment demonstrating that the guerrillas are no longer there.

Yes, the tyu is everything. N has been trying to pronounce it for 15 years, and failing every time. I use it about 600 times a day, always with a different intonation and a different shade of meaning.
So what do the Russian nationalist guerrillas want? What are they fighting for?
They want a Russian nation-state. They want to stop Putin’s population replacement that’s been going on for 20+ years. They want their ethnic group to remain in existence and have its own state. These are obviously hard-right dudes.
Their goal is to let go of the non-Russian subjects of the Russian Federation. Not kill them or anything but simply to dissolve the Federation and reserve the name “Russia” for the majority-Russian area. The Kalmyks, the Buryats, the Adygeans, the Chechens, the Chuvash, the Mordvins, and so on can have their own countries.
You will soon start hearing that this idea was invented by the CIA but that’s not true. It has existed for a very long time on the Russian right. Russian nationalists have been dying for it for decades.
In the US, in the meantime, another colorful white supremacist has been dropped into the news feed:
The (bad, official) Russians have provided footage of what they claim are the dead bodies of the guerrillas they claim to have killed. The bodies look at least 72 hours old, which is strange, given that the guerrilla operation started yesterday.
The (good, guerrilla) Russians, on the other hand, are providing fresh footage that is geolocated as being filmed in the Belgorod Region. Geolocation shows that they have advanced about 40 km into their native country of Russia.
And here are the Chinese, being subservient again:
Why do they need to be subservient to the pathetic, weak Russia?
Because it’s the kind of activity that is its own reward.
Oh, the sweet joys of being a good, good doggie.
