The Lindsey Clancy jury says its deadlocked. With nine women on the jury, what is the likelihood that at least a couple would not be marinated in profound feelings of pity for themselves? Because that’s what the support for Clancy is about. Nobody gives a hoot about Clancy. The women who jump up and down in support of the child murderer want to attract attention to their own suffering. Try to talk to one of them, and you will see how she immediately segues into her own terrible ordeal of not being everybody’s center of attention every second of every day.

Finding Clancy guilty would entail an acceptance that their own suppurating resentment isn’t justified. Their entire narrative of self as suffering, ill-used victims will collapse. And they don’t have any substitute way of seeing themselves if this one is yanked away.

    I don’t agree with your analysis entirely. You can forget Murder One. At best we’re probably looking at Manslaughter maybe Involuntary, or Not guilty by Reason of Insanity as a compromise. I wouldn’t rule out a Hung jury either.

      Not guilty by reason of insanity is the exact same thing as not guilty, period. She’ll be out in the streets in a few months.

        No, Andrea Yates has been in a mental facility for over 20 years. This is the time for both sides to consider a plea bargain, possibly Involuntary Manslaughter. Both sides are risking a lot at this point. Also I meant to note that the judge failed to sequester the jury in this case which to me is unconscionable. Probably the most grotesque judicial failure since the denial of a change of venue to Derick Chauvin.

          Yates has consistently refused to seek release. This bitch will seek release seconds after the verdict.

          I’m in complete agreement on the judge. And on Chauvin who needs to be pardoned immediately.

            Chauvin is in a Federal Prison in Texas. If Trump pardons him Walz has already said he will place him in the state penitentiary in Minnesota, any cops worst nightmare.

              Governor of Minnesota Waltz is an elected government figure.

              I understand that you’re referring to state law under which Chauvin might be held liable for a crime. I’m not familiar enough with US law, but it seems remiss of the law that a member of the executive branch of power should also enjoy judicial power.

              Can someone explain how Governor Waltz could exercise judicial power in this case?

            Under Massachusetts law, any person held at a secure facility for the criminally insane for committing a crime while not being of sound mind is due for release the moment two certified psychiatrists state that he/she no longer poses a danger to self or others.

            It’s Massachusetts law under which Lindsay Clancy is being tried. With no criminal record.

              In Connecticut, a guy was released who had murdered a neighbor and eaten parts of his head. He got magically cured of his insanity, yay!

              Another case that was very similar to Clancy’s was the one where a mother murdered her children, found not guilty by reason of insanity, released soon enough, after which she had more children and murdered them too.

              Andrea Yates, whom people often cite as a similar case to Clancy’s, is still in a psychiatric facility because she chooses not to ask for release.

              Clancy has a big future as a social media influencer after she is released. Maybe she’ll even run for office, given as she’s such a huge advocate for women’s rights.

              We are so cooked.
