We are such a backwater. It’s really cute. These baggy pants that have been insanely popular among young girls are finally going out of fashion:
But in our town, I saw them for the first time on a teenage girl yesterday. She is now undoubtedly a fashion icon in her middle school. We always catch up with these fashion trends two years after the fact, looking like a cute little time capsule.
LOL, Kid, there is no understanding fashion, I can remember as a kid getting no response to asking my Mom what her “it’s the fashion” meant. And my surprise when my wife added a wedge of red flannel to the outside lower edges of my blue jeans to better accomodate my cowboy boots — voila, fashionable bell bottoms ;-D
These remind me of a sail. I always found the whole fashion industry to be an odd thing.

It’s funny that these young girls aren’t making the best of the time in their lives when they don’t need to wear these bulky body-concealing outfits. Why wear a mumu until you absolutely have to wear a mumu?

Achieves the same goal as most of the sillier women’s fashion: advertising the uselessness of the wearer. Nobody is going to ask this person to help. With anything.

In addition, you have to wash them all the time or pay for dry cleaning. They don’t last, so you will purchase more. You end up spending, spending, and then spending some more.
