I’m back stateside. Saw diesel prices on the way home. Couldn’t figure out what those numbers were at first. I was only away for a week, so the change didn’t track.

I guess that’s it for the midterms then. It was good while it lasted.

Let’s hope that one day we’ll see a Republican president who will choose to forget the words “Middle East.” In the meantime, let’s buckle up for Woke 2.0.

Yeah, I remember the first time I got a visual shock at amazingly high gas prices. It was back in the mid-1960s, when I flew from my home state of Tennessee to California to interview for a medical internship at several California hospitals. Gas back home was about 35 cents a gallon. The average price in California was a whooping 75 cents a gallon.

I wouldn’t be so sure… that $5000 if the republicans win both houses sounds pretteee sweeet. And, Ms. I’m-So-Cynical… he said the war with Iran will end after the mid-terms. So there! Peace and a cool $5000. An unbeatable combination!

I’ve seen people on social media seriously discuss these $5,000 payments. They even have a fancy word for them that they learned 3 minutes ago, dividend. My heart bleeds for them. These are poor, confused people, and using their ignorance and confusion is a sin.

Trump’s going to continue to wreck the economy, so I’d like my $5000 check. (But of course, regardless of who wins the midterms, he’s not going to keep his promise.)

God, I hope so. I really really hope this doesn’t happen.

It’s not Trump, though. It’s everybody. That trillion will be wasted either on “dividends” or on a fresh round of Somali migrants. It’s not like this was extremely different before Trump.

It is not a sin, it the ignorance of not understanding that increased diesel price is not an additional inflationaI cost, more like a multiplier. Almost heavy equipment is diesel, not only trucks, but railroad locomotives, even farm equipment. My uncles that still farm have already made decisions on how much and what winter crops, when to till/plant, how much fertilizer — that affects next years food. Everybody following them must do the same, the housewife notices their gas price, but are shocked when the cost of a loaf of bread doubles.

Yep. It’s a disaster of extraordinary proportions. But most people are such morons that they’ll never get it.

Yup, just had one of my clients, who run a Pecan grove show up to pick up payroll. They just got back from vacation and were horrified at the diesel prices. They had me run a report on what was purchased in 2025 and up till today on 2026.

They were already 10K more by September than by the end of last year, and harvest season doesn’t start till October. They also said their workers had told them that they had been speaking with others working in other Pecan groves, and they were only planning on waiting to harvest so they would only have to go through the grove twice due to the shortage of Diesel.

Frankly the shortage has just started and I expect it to get sooo much worse.

I’ve said it before and I will say it again. The Tribulation is coming, and the Bible records the price of Bread will cost an entire days wage. So if we say the average person makes $20 an hour, for 8 hours, that is $160. Or a loaf of bread will be $160.

So once more if you are not saved, now would be a very good time to find Jesus.

We’ve got some big elections coming up. Something we could do without is Trump’s “assistance.”
