The communist groups that helped bring people into the streets during France’s October riots all have something in common. It’s not much of a mystery what that something is. Third Worldist communist groups are, of course, all being fed by Moscow. Fed, financed, organized, and controlled in a very obvious way
One of these pro-Russian organizations is the youth wing of the French Communist Party. As soon as the riots began, it launched Mouvement Lycéen, a network that helped mobilize rioters among students. Then there is the Pôle de Renaissance Communiste en France. One of its representatives holds a Russian passport and has a Russian Foreign Ministry insignia awarded at the request of Sergey Lavrov. This organization is central to the riots.
The Pôle de Renaissance Communiste en France and the founders of the Union pour la Reconstruction Communiste signed the same platform declaration as SOVINTERN, the “new international” launched in Moscow in April. SOVINTERN was established under a deputy chairman of the State Duma whom U.S. prosecutors charged in 2022 in connection with a Russian influence operation.
The story does not end there. The chief of staff charged alongside him now sits in the Duma and runs SOVINTERN’s Moscow branch. During the French riots, that branch openly celebrated what it called “the red banner over France.” It is responsible for some of the most destructive, targeted initiatives of the rioters.
The French Communist Party, from which these groups originate, has a long-standing relationship with the Communist Party of the Russian Federation. It has agitated against France’s support of Ukraine during the Russian invasion since 2014.
None of this, in any way, reduces the culpability of Western politicians who inflicted mass migration on Europe. None of this reduces the culpability of the dishonest media that are presenting the riots as normal, run-of-the-mill protests of French youth. If you’re letting yourself be manipulated by people under hammer-and-sickle banners in the year 2026, you’re a moron of clinical proportions who deserves anything you get.
But it’s equally stupid to pretend that there is no financing and organization effort behind the dysfunction.
