The Best Parents

The best parents I’ve seen in my life (and which have the best relationships with their kids) have been:

Politically liberal
Never divorced
Didn’t want kids until late in life
Created firm boundaries for their kids

The worst parents I’ve seen have fallen into one of two groups:

Group one

Politically very conservative
Had kids early
Created super-rigid boundaries for their kids

Group two

Politically liberal
Created few boundaries for their kids.

My father was group one and the best father on the planet aside from N. And we had a very profound relationship until the day he died.

I don’t do this boundaries thing myself because I’m an old parent, and the forty years that separate me and my kid are boundary enough. Neither do I do punishments, consequences, timeouts, or any of that stuff. But again, at my age it’s all kind of mega unnecessary.

Summer of George Floyd, Season 2

The sequel to the “Summer of George Floyd” appeared right on time.

The first round was decisively won by the Left in 2020. The result was race-based insanity that consumed the country for several years.

The current iteration of Leftist riots is run in a different America. People have been battered by too much “water is racist” sloganeering and have become jaded. Trump doesn’t seem to have many fucks to give this time round, either.

Let’s hope the sequel has a happy ending.

Doom or Not?

Yeah, I don’t know. This kind of thing makes middle-aged liberals feel edgy and rebellious. They watch, pout, and feel ferocious.

The scenes from LA are sad and embarrassing but there are many people who will find inspiration in the dysfunction.

Reading in French

I’m really shocked at how easy it is for me to read in French. I haven’t practiced for a year, yet reading goes as a breeze.

The human brain is extraordinary.

Q&A about Psychoanalysis

Very happy for you. It’s the right decision, and it’s going to be amazing. I have no idea how this thing works but work it does in the most extraordinary ways.

Yes, psychoanalysis had a magical effect on my life but it’s not only that. N might not even be alive today without it. I also recommended it to several relatives and friends, and it worked for all except one who dropped out after two sessions.

My recommendation is prepare to be frustrated and work through it. Psychoanalysis is not therapy. It doesn’t aim to soothe you. Soothing has a temporary effect. You will keep needing more and more. That’s why I don’t recommend therapy. It’s situational and doesn’t have an end point. The real transformative change only happens through frustration. If you feel there’s something you really don’t want to talk about, it’s a sign that this is what you need to talk about. I didn’t explain this to the friend who quit, and her analyst immediately identified the pain point and went for it. She wasn’t prepared for that and couldn’t tolerate it.

Accept that you don’t know how your mind works. If you did, you wouldn’t need to seek help. Also accept that you don’t know how the process works and don’t need to understand. Like when you go to a dentist for a root canal, you open your mouth and sit there. Relax, relinquish control, and let the specialist work. Also, prepare for the realization that what you think is your problem is probably not remotely the actual problem.

Another thing is, don’t plan what you’ll say on advance. The more spontaneous it is, the better. If you need to sit in silence, then do that. Don’t try to understand the process through logic.

Do it, my friend, and prepare for wonderful things that are about to start happening.

Tax Remittances

Can anybody explain why remittances haven’t been taxed so far? And why they will only be taxed at 3,5% even now? The whole point of exporting illegal migrant slaves for many countries (and for the slaves’ families) is to get these remittances. They should be taxed at 15% at the lowest. Ideally, I’d go to 30%.

This is the best way of stemming the tide of migration. And the best part is that not only will it cost nothing, it will be very profitable.

The suffering of these poor people who are thrown out and forced to migrate by their horrible, greedy families is a tragedy. I know such people, and my heart bleeds for them. They want to be back home, living their lives but they are forced to remain in exile, slaving away and living in terrible conditions to finance some ludicrous whim of more valuable family members. Sometimes, the families keep the migrants’ young children hostage. If you don’t send grandma a thousand dollars this week, you won’t get to see your 2-year-old on FaceTime.

I know stories that would make your hair stand on end. And we can stop all of this by simply taxing remittances. There’s no argument against doing it, none.

Q&A about Russian Sanctions

I’m behind on the Q&As, for which I apologize. I will start catching up immediately. Here’s one question:

These sanctions are a nothing burger. There have been years of sanctions, and they have had zero effect. Russians don’t react to poverty or a plunging standard of living. The only people impacted are middle-class, and they are a tiny percentage. Nobody gives a crap about what they want.

The problem is much bigger. Nobody knows what to do. Trump is trying to recreate Hillary’s “Russia reset” that was a re-creation of George W Bush’s policy which was a replay of Bill Clinton’s policy which was identical to Bush Sr’s policy. Thirty-five years of doing the exact same thing and getting the exact same terrible result not because anybody wants a terrible result but because nobody knows what else to do.

I also don’t know what to do. There was a chance to spare us all this crap back in 1990. That chance was pissed away. Since then, nobody found the courage to state openly why it was pissed away. You can’t solve a problem you are afraid to name. So we are stuck. We will continue beating our heads against a wall that grows thicker with every hit.

US Government Trafficked Children

In order to avoid placing unaccompanied minor children crossing the border into “cages”, the Biden administration sent them to unvetted volunteers. These were random people who wanted to take in these children for unknown reasons. There was no supervision of what the volunteers did to the children that the American government gifted to them. Nobody tracked them, nobody knew where those children are.

Then the volunteers started raping them. The whole operation was one huge gift to pedos. Example:

A 37-year-old illegal immigrant man was arrested for allegedly sexually abusing at least one teen girl who the federal government sent to live with him as part of the Biden administration’s scheme to place “unaccompanied alien children” in the homes of unrelated, loosely-vetted “sponsors.”

Wilson Manfredo Lopez-Carillo was arrested by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s office in Florida on May 22 and charged with three counts of sexual assault on a minor.

Of course, we’ll never know about most of these cases.

Given that the vast majority of Americans wants to put an end to mass migration, this exercise in human trafficking was conducted by the Democrats against the express wishes of the people.

Video: A Debate about Canada

This was supposed to be a debate about Canada with a Canadian film-maker who disagrees with me on things I’ve been saying about the Canadian election. But it turned out to be very non-confrontational. Posting it anyway with a promise to get off the subject of Canada because enough already.
