Tucker Carlson discloses that he was attacked by a demon. In his bed. With his wife next to him. While four dogs slept on his bed. The demon mauled him and left claw marks. Tucker started to bleed. Tucker felt pain. Caused by the demon. That attacked him.
Well, what did he expect after selling his soul to Putin? Putin is known for being deeply involved in occult practices. You commune with him at your own risk.
The human right of the waitresses not to be harassed in the toilets and threatened with gun violence is of zero interest to anybody except, apparently, Hooters.
So why is the progressive rhetoric so stuck in the past? This is consistent on most issues, so it can’t be accidental. Why does the Left keep fighting against Jim Crow, slavery, book bans, contraception bans, Nazism, fascism, and enslaved women who have no control over anything in their lives except who they vote for (see recent ads for Kamala Harris)?
It’s the same reason why Harris can’t answer any questions without mumbling and looking lost. The actual agenda of the Left can’t be openly revealed. It’s so radical and scary to almost everybody that it can’t be explained. The few people who are in the know are concealing it and feeding these outdated talking points to the plebs on their side.
It’s interesting how quaintly outdated the liberal rhetoric is. We hear about “sex assigned at birth” when science has long allowed to determine a baby’s sex through a simple blood test given to the mother just a few weeks into the pregnancy. That whole thing with a midwife lifting the baby up in the air so that everybody could see the genitals and announcing the sex is from the 1920s. A whole ideological edifice was erected on this “sex assigned at birth” which doesn’t exist anymore.
They talk about abortion as if it were 1963 and abortion pills didn’t exist. Abortion to them is “a procedure” and you have to travel to see a doctor. It never occurs to them that if this were true, COVID lockdowns would have constituted an abortion ban. Cancer patients had to delay procedures. Women went without mammograms. Hypertensives skipped phlebotomies. How come, then, that abortions were not affected? Why were no coat hangers used for desperate home-made abortions? It was because of the invention called telemedicine. It has only existed for a few decades, so it’s understandable that some people are failing to clock on.
Immigration to progressives is stuck in the era of the Ellis Island and should be administered exactly as it was back then. They seem not to know that the Internet has been invented, for example. Or that the world economy changed, Hitler is long dead, and Madison Square Garden is used daily for non-Nazi events.
To them, Jim Crow still exists and there are no xerox machines in rural areas. The possibility of scanning a document by means of a device called a smartphone never occurs.
They believe it’s crucial that newspapers endorse political candidates as if social media didn’t exist. And that books can be banned because in their world there’s still no Amazon.
They want to progress from the baseline of 1939. We saw this clearly here on the blog in yesterday’s debate about immigration. The discussion is ultimately fruitless because one side was discussing what is today while the other was still rehashing old fights from 80 years ago.
As happens every year, I either forgot or repressed that my town does trick-or-treating on the 30 and not on actual Halloween. It’s hot like the dickens, I spent an hour in traffic, and going out to trudge around in hot, humid air that feels like heated up cotton wool wasn’t extremely welcome.
That’s not the point, though. What I wanted to say is that I go around the same neighborhood every year. And I never – and I mean ever ever – saw such expensive Halloween decorations in every other front yard. People are clearly not suffering much economically because I’ve seen these toys at the stores, and they are upwards of $1,500 each. Huge, motion-activated contraptions, very elaborate. And people have 2, 3, 5. To have a house after a house featuring them – that’s really crazy.
It’s like everybody suddenly won the lottery and I never heard about it.
The 22-year-old man who shot an Orthodox Jew near a synagogue in Chicago is an illegal migrant from Mauritania.
He had been caught by Border Patrol in March 2023. And released into the country.
It’s impossible to comprehend why people caught crossing the border illegally are aided in their plans by border agents. This is the most insane immigration policy ever.
This is why I have fits when Kamala Harris prattles about “the bipartisan border bill” that will pay for more border patrols. Why is it good to have more border patrols if all they do is shuffle more people like the Chicago shooter of Jews into the country?
The immigration problem has nothing to do with money. It requires no money to be solved immediately. Simply stop releasing illegal crossers into the country. That’s all. Costs enormously less than bringing them in and supporting them here. Or keeping them in the law enforcement system like the Chicago shooter Sidi Mohamed Abdallahi who has now been charged with 14 felonies. Tons of money will now be expended on his trial and incarceration. Why do we need all this? What is the enormous benefit he brought into the country that we now have to pay for for decades?
This is a good and important question because people often confuse the two, thinking that Sweden, for example, must be a socialist country because it has strong welfare protections.
The welfare state arose in capitalist countries to preclude the appearance of socialist sentiments in the population. If life is good, if people know they will get help in times of need, why want a complete reformatting of society and call for the nationalization of everything?
A simple method of knowing if a society is socialist is to look at who owns your favorite restaurant, store, café, or car wash. Are they owned by the government? If all of what we know as “businesses” are owned by the government, that’s socialism. If not, it’s capitalism. Many capitalist countries have very strong welfare protections because they can afford them. Socialist countries often have no real welfare protections because their economic system doesn’t generate enough of a surplus to pay for them.
The number one difference between socialism and capitalism is the ownership of the means of production. In socialism, you can still have your private property but you are barred from using it to generate profit. Once your private property becomes a means of generating profit, that’s no longer allowed. For example, you can own a car but you can’t buy a fleet of cars and start a taxi service. There are some small areas for individual entrepreneurship in socialist countries that are taxed to the gill and regulated severely. But individual entrepreneurs can’t hire other people because that’s considered exploitation.
The difference between socialism and communism is that communism is the next stage. The state dies off and the means of production are owned collectively by the people. The issue of exploitation doesn’t arise because there no longer is any money, nobody is forced to work, everybody who does work does it completely voluntarily and for no additional consideration compared to those who choose not to work. Yes, it’s a fantasy, it never happened, it never will happen, but that’s the theory.
I always insist that we use terminology correctly because once we start slipping, we get ourselves mega confused and achieve nothing. Clearly, Sweden and the USSR have nothing in common. So how can we call them both socialist? All this does is obscure the terribly and unavoidably genocidal nature of socialism. Socialism always ends up oppressing and murdering people. It’s baked into the design. It goes completely against human nature. Once we start saying that Sweden is “also socialism”, we have not only sinned against the truth but whitewashed what socialism actually is.
This has been a constant throughout the war. The Congress votes for aid, but the WH simply doesn’t send it. Remember all the bleating about how it was Republicans in Congress who were preventing aid from passing? Well, it was passed months and months ago but the WH is simply refusing to follow what the Congress mandated. No matter how you feel about foreign aid, this is an issue of the executive branch arrogating to itself the powers of the legislature. It’s exactly how it was during Obama.
We keep hearing about the threats to our democracy. And here’s the executive branch refusing to execute what the legislature mandated. What kind of a democracy is it? Why even have different branches of power?
In the same talk, Zelensky told about the confidential information he provided to the WH that was immediately leaked to NYTimes.
The Biden-Harris administration has been absolutely awful to Ukraine. It would be much better to say honestly, “Sorry, no aid, not our problem, figure it out yourselves, bye.” But to promise aid, use it to cudgel your domestic opponents, create false hopes, and then quietly do the exact opposite is immoral and low.
I’m just so annoyed by people who tell me I should vote for Harris because of Ukraine. It’s been almost three years. There are daily air raides. Daily deaths. And the Biden-Harris administration is gaslighting, betraying, lying, and offering succor to the enemy.
It’s us, Americans, that the WH is gaslighting and betraying, too. We are told absolute lies by them about Ukraine, as about everything else. They are spitting into the soul of every American who trusted them on this issue.
