Students never cease to surprise me. It turns out that in my class I have a group of Chelsea supporters and a competing group of Manchester United supporters.

Now I will never say that my students are not sophisticated and worldly any more.

I have no special love for Chelsea for obvious reasons (Abramovich, bleh), so I agree. 🙂

I sense a Man U fan 🙂 It’s a shame your preferences don’t lie souther across the Atlantic, Llama, given your blog handle. Latin American football is so much more poetic than the rough and tumble of the devilish reds.

Or it used to be, when I used to watch football, a very long time ago. Sometimes, these days, I can’t tell Latin American football from European club football. Sigh.

European football clubs. They usually generate very passionate fans. Think of the Yankees/Red Sox, only not so cordial.
