Among all the weird gifts out there, this gift I found at a store in Canada truly deserves some sort of a prize for weirdness:

Can you imagine a family that needs a box of questions to suggest topics for dinner conversation? I mean, if you have nothing to talk about, what makes you think you are a family?

I can imagine my mother buying them for us, because her boyfriend and me form a perpetually quarrelsome duo whenever he brings up politics, religion, or… just about any subject, actually, save for dish towels. So these cards are probably for families like mine, where you have to avoid nearly all controversial topics unless you want it to end in screaming matches. 😛

Screaming matches are fun. 🙂 I think this is more for those folks who just sit there in silence, at a complete loss what to say to each other. Screaming shows you care. 🙂

sheesh. I’ll take my family’s squabbles over awkward silence any day of the week.

Or — depending on what’s in the questions — to provoke screaming matches.
