Boris Berezovsky, one of the people used by the KGB during the organized collapse of the USSR to fake a transfer of power and generate anti-Semitism, has committed suicide in London. It is really rewarding to see that his banditry did not make him happy. Instead, he found himself so miserable, lonely and depressed at the age of 67 that he decided to kill himself.

Before you get on the high horse of how wrong it is to celebrate somebody’s death, remember that you have absolutely no idea what Berezovsky and his fellow bandits did to all of us in the 1990s.

May he rot in hell.

This is, what, the third Russian businessman to die in London? I live in London, I don’t know what makes this city so deadly to oligarchs.

  It’s the lawnof probabilities. There are so many of them, and their lifestyle is so unhealthy that they are dropping off like flies.

    Actually, I had this discussion with my dad today when Berezovsky showed up on the front page of the Telegraph. He said he couldn’t imagine a worse way to live. Their jobs demand constant attention and surveillance from their authorities, so while they may have luxury mansions and gorgeous wives, they don’t have a life to spend enjoying either. Not only that but because of the nature of their business, attempts on their lives are made constantly and they’re forced to send their kids to school with body guards.
    
    Then there’s the fact they’re part of a system way bigger than they are which has no trouble disposing of them when they cease to be useful. Certainly helps to know they can never be happy with themselves after everything they do.

      Your Dad is absolutely right. The rates of depression, alcoholism, drug addiction and suicide among these Russian nouveau riches who didn’t earn their money but just stole it are staggering. I really think they get exactly what they deserve.

I read he was against Putin, are you sure it wasn’t a “suicide”?

Also, the newspaper said loss of (all?) his money was the reason.

  He recently wrote a groveling letter to Putin, begging for forgiveness. He was a discarded employee for Putin, nothing more.

The hollowing out of the Rusian economy in the early 90’s is one of the greatest materials crime-waves in history. The result is that pretty much all extremely rich Russians are, essentially, scum of the earth. It was put best by the person who wrote that the line between poor and rich was a barb-wire wall – you couldn’t cross over to the other side without shedding blood.

One of the reasons they spend so much time out side of Russia is because everyone in Russia knows they’re thieving murderers (or have sold out to thieving murderers). When the vipers turn against each other my only regret is they can’t all kill each other off.
