I just won an infant car seat in Vine. This is the best win ever because one thing I wasn’t looking forward to buying for the baby is an expensive car seat that will barely be used 3 or 4 times. Yay!

I just won an infant car seat in Vine. This is the best win ever because one thing I wasn’t looking forward to buying for the baby is an expensive car seat that will barely be used 3 or 4 times. Yay!

3 or 4 times? My friend I think you forgot you live in the Midwest! Unless, you don’t want to do anything rather than go around your house, a car seat is one of the things that you will use the most in the next few years!)

I don’t have a car. 🙂 We need the seat to take the baby home from the hospital and that’s about it. Later on, we will need a seat for toddlers. But as an infant, where would we take her?

The store, the museum, restaurants, the movies, pretty much anywhere you want to go you can take the baby. There are even theaters that do baby movie times, they turn the lights up a bit and the sound down so that you can go see a movie and take the baby with you. Of course, if you mostly walk or take the bus, then a stroller will work just fine.

You could have bought a second hand one. Baby stuff doesn’t have to cost the earth. Also friends often pass baby stuff around. I sold my baby car seat/pushchair to a woman at work for a song (she insisted on paying something), bought a cot from another friend and was given bits and bobs.
I’ve passed on all the baby clothes either to friends or friends of friends. There’s quite a sub-economy of baby stuff. 🙂
