People are getting too infantilized for their own good. See the search that brought 4 people to this blog today:

smoking

What do you mean “how”? You put a cigarette into your mouth, bring fire to the tip that sticks out, and suck in.

People look up instructions online before doing absolutely anything these days. The belief in the magical power of Google searches is profound.

I think they meant “why”, not “physically how”. Or, searched for the advised brands of cigarettes to begin with. Probably some brands are considered lighter than others? Less smell than others? Don’t know much about smoking, except that the smell is horrible.

Btw, heard a radio ad recently : ” *cough* *cough* If you’re older than 30, you probably thought about quitting smoking ” Some young people still think smoking is “cool” or “adult”.

Even worse, maybe they meant to say “How do you start stroking” 😉

Yes, like that teenage boy who bought a book in a used book store because it was called “How to Hug.” He brought it home, opened it with trembling fingers behind closed doors, and discovered that it was a volume of an encyclopedia. 🙂

I have a (somewhat sarcastic) answer: Become a university student in the humanities/social sciences, and start hanging out with your classmates after lectures. 🙂

Or travel to Spain where people will assume you are very sick if you don’t smoke. 🙂

I’ve quit smoking, but the last time I smoked was, indeed, after having a threesome with a French man and a Spanish man. They each offered me a cigarette after excellent sex, how could I turn them down? 🙂

“There is one thing every married person will tell you: marriage is hard.”

      – OK, after this very first sentence I cannot continue reading. I am a married person, and I will not tell this. Neither will I make statements about what every person will tell anybody.

Where do these blathering fools come from in such huge numbers?

The biggest issue in my marriage is that he says it does not annoy him that I leave half-filled cups all over the apartment and I don’t understand why it doesn’t annoy him when even I am annoyed at myself for it.

Can’t think of any other issues. But this half-filled cup issue is HARD WORK. My suffering is intense. It is like a full-time job to make the relationship work around the cups. Maybe we need couples’ therapy. . . Plus our mothers-in-law are very abused by the cups. They have never seen the cups but I know they have got to be abused because everybody always is!

And, of course, the child protective services don’t even consider removing the kid from this abusive household. Horrible.
