A Big Win for Liberals in Quebec

The population of Quebec turned out en masse to vote for the discredited and corrupt Liberal Party. 80% of people are said to have come to the polls.

This was, of course, not a vote for the Liberals, whom everybody despises, but a big, huge, pulsating NO to the idea of having a new referendum on Quebec’s independence.

A Spanish-speaking Montrealer wrote on Facebook:

Chau Pauline Marois!!!!!!! Que te vaya bien!!!! Y que te vayas bien lejos!!!!

It seems like the leader of Parti Québécois Pauline Maurois has managed to antagonize many people in Quebec in quite a short period of time.

I want to extend my condolences to those in Quebec who are sad and congratulate those who aren’t (my loyalties are severely strained here, people. Whatever I say, somebody will hate me.)

Vive le Québec libre!

I will never hate you for what you say of think about Quebec. Your political opinions about our dear province are always enlightened and they always make me think, and rethink my beliefs.

    A surreal election. I am sad and upset because I am convinced that people in Quebec are more progressive that what these results show, and that our political system (which sucks balls as you are now well aware of), does not allow to show that. Or perhaps I live in la-la-land.
    
    But hey… today I am back to the quiet and still air of delightful studies.

Vive Le Quebec Liberal!
Hey Carissa, they were so despised by the people and it shows by how many seats they won. Isn’t despicable how all those despicable people voted for the Liberals?
The people despised them so much that to show it, they even voted Pauline out of her own riding. Quell Horror.
Where was Charley de Gaulle when the P.Q. needed him.
The P.Q. should have played the video from the famous speech he made in Montreal.
I’m sure they would have beaten those despicable Liberals hey?

  This was a par dépit vote, and you know it. People hated the PQ so much that they forced themselves to vote Liberal. Everybody I know in Quebec who voted Liberal did so using the logic of “the alternative is even worse.”
  
  And the people who voted for the Liberals are not despicable. My whole family voted Liberal yesterday, by the way.

What do you expect from a 66 yr.old Liberal?
But I disagree with you, I believe that Pauline Marois makes the perfect poster child to bring back burning witches at the stake. What do you mean by ‘hated’, I’m sure their parents loved them at one time or another, then again, maybe not when they turned P.Q..
Pauline Marois got kicked in her ‘Depends’ last night and sent packing. I was waiting for her to say, Ces’t la faut de….Know what I mean? I think her living bra died last night cause it couldn’t separate no more.
I never liked Jean Charette, to me, he looked like the Pillsbury Doughboy.
Didn’t Afros go out of style in the 70’s ?
Lets give a chance to what’s his name and the other fellows, (I’m not talking about that Newfie band.) He looks somewhat disconnected from all that corruption and crap, if not, we always have the option to burn him at the stake.
Pierre Karl Peladeau seems to want to start his own third world style country and hang people from Hydro poles using cable supplied from his Videotron cable company for anyone who disagrees with him.
Let the games begin, oh yeah, Vive Le Quebec till they screw it up again!

    I am right about that, unfortunately. What do former primer ministers do after they end their active political lives? They are lawyers, consultants, or lobbyists… But for Marois it will be different. People will probably hope that she go back home, cook some food, and do some gardening.
    
    I disagree with Marois’s politics and I have never voted PQ in my life, yet tout ça est absolument déprimant et ingrat.

    Now now, lets not take a simple joke out of context and turn into a sexiest feminist rant. If anybody should be blamed for sexism, it should be the bra, but I don’t think so.
    The bra never said anything sexist about Pauline. It never put her down in any way or made any sexist comments about her. The bra couldn’t put up any longer with her political loss and made a political statement.. What, it’s not allowed to without being accused of sexism?
    Lets not forget that it was a living bra with mind of its own.
    Do you have any idea of all the cruelty and atrocities that were committed by woman in the past against their living bras by burning them alive? What, were those woman judge and jury also? I didn’t think so. That was feminism rearing its head with no respect for the lives of those poor living bras.
    If a plastic inflatable love doll blows up in your face because you over inflated it and gives you a black eye, would that be a sexist statement?
    Some people just have to much time on their hands looking for something no matter how small or innocent to make a case out of.
    I had a female doctor once and as she was examining me and I got exited. She said,
    “Oh my God that’s big, I’m really tempted but I’m married so you better find another doctor.”
    Now, wasn’t that a sexist statement on her behalf?
    O.k. I think I made my point, now please point out to me where anywhere in this election someone made a sexist statement about Pauline Marois.
    People were just fed up with her party trying to divide Canada and let the P.Q. know.
    Is now rejecting a political party a sexist act because the leader is a female?
    Again, please point out any links that prove that sexism was involved against Pauline Marois in this election.

Considering Charest was originally a Conservative says a lot. Moi, je suis Quebecois and Marois and the separatists can go fuck themselves. 😉
