Facebook Wars

A friend on Facebook posted the following:

sexism

I responded with, “And that, my friends, is the worst kind of anti-woman statement known to humanity.”

By the way, Facebook suspended the account of a famous journalist in Russia because of an anti-Putin comment he posted. Now we know that Zuckerberg is pro-Putin. That’s quite weird, especially in the view of the recent proposals by the head of the Education Committee of the Russian Parliament that the website of the Parliament mention that Russians are Aryans.

    1. And note how it starts with an insult, “women are foolish.” I’ll insult you but then pretend that this is all for a higher purpose. Bleh, nasty. And also, maybe women can figure out on their own if they are equal or want to be? Or are we too foolish to decide that on our own?

My father used to say this kind of thing (without the “foolish” part) but now HE KNOWS BETTER.

      1. Women are just too good and virtuous for things like flaws, agency, ambition, and informed, calculated decision-making. Those traits are reserved for the evil bad men whom it doesn’t matter if they soil their hands with such things!

      2. ladyleahjane, I nearly sneezed my drink all over the keyboard reading your comment.

I’ve just finished a book on North Korea(The cleanest race, by B. R. Myers) that proposed that one of the reasons for the longevity of their tyrannical regime is the way it both creates and fulfills a national need for an identity containing the same mix of innocence and powerlessness you describe there. Considering the presence of the same flavour mix in quite a bit of modern feminism, shit certainly isn’t looking good for gender equality in the Western world 😦

That is quite weird. If someone had asked me what russians were, I would have probably said asians. Though I heard they don’t particulary like that sentiment.

      – Now that they are all anti-Europeans, they have warmed to the idea.
