In Ukraine, steel workers have finally had it with the Russian invasion, got themselves armed, took to the streets, and beat the separatists into submission.
It was high time for labor to wake up and organize.
The workers united and thwarted an attempt to rebuild part of the Soviet Union. That seems fitting.
It also reminds me a bit of Poland, where the Communists were opposed by a labor union, of all things. Being a Catholic from a city full of Polish Catholics (I’m not Polish, but a lot of my neighbors were), I thought Solidarity was an absolutely ingenious idea.

Yes! Workers need real unions, not the fake kind we had in the USSR. Unions rock. But I’m biased here. 🙂
