Russians have signed an agreement with Cuba, forgiving 90% of Cuba’s debt. This is only right since the Russians were the ones who initially got poor clueless Cubans into this entire sad mess.
Ukrainian troops are on the offensive and have beaten the bandits out of the city of Slovyansk.
The bandits are getting upset with Putin for not helping them enough. I wonder if they can be persuaded to go back to Russia to whoop Putin’s ass for his betrayal.
The Pride parade in Kiev had to be canceled. Civilization comes slowly and painfully.
In Russia, a new law had been passed guaranteeing a jail sentence of up to 5 years to any blogger who writes that the Crimea should be returned to Ukraine. But that’s nothing compared to the law making it very hard for those who are not athletic to acquire higher education.
Ukrainian troops, God bless them, has just liberated Kramatorsk, another important city in the Donbass region. 🙂 🙂

This is good because the bandits moved towards Kramatorsk straight out of Slovyansk.

Wouldn’t sports be just one of the grades out of 10+? How does it work?
I read this article (in English) about the Russian reforms in education :
http://rbth.com/articles/2013/01/15/new_education_law_sparks_debates_in_russia_21879.html
Ironically, I didn’t like Russia moving closer to USA in “home education received legal status,” if by that is meant “now parents in Russia can abuse their children by complete isolation and manipulation like some ultra-religious do in America”
Some of the principal issues surrounding this law have still not been addressed: for example, the issue of separating schools from the church, which is enforced by the constitution.
This too seems more frightening, but may be I don’t understand something.

– Grades in physical education will now be taken into account when people apply to universities. The normativy will influence your chances of acceptance. Which, for me, would have meant never getting higher education.
