Bureaucrats in Montreal are trying to shut down a pre-school for autistic children:

A private preschool in Montreal West for children with autism is facing possible closure, because the Quebec government says it doesn’t have the proper permit to operate.

The Little Red Playhouse caters to children with an autism spectrum disorder, giving them the special attention they need, so they can eventually transition more easily into the public school system.

Parents call the school a godsend.

There is absolutely no reason for the closure except that the bureaucrats can’t find a category for this school in their paperwork. Whatever that means.

Let’s sign this petition to tell the government of Quebec that closing the school is simply wrong.

I fear that the name of the school is not working in its favor. Now had it been la maison rouge maybe they would stand a chance.

  He did apparently issue an explanation in an e-mail. He allegedly said that these paragraphs were sent to him by a friend who told him, that they were safe to use.
  
  I’m not suprised people are riffing on him for this. He is basically the bastard child of hipster jesus and joss whedon for the a-bit-too-leftist crowd here. In their eyes, he could probably walk around and give the Hiltergruß to immigrants and have them see it as the greatest cultural criticism against both racism and mass extinction of bees.

  As somebody said on Facebook, he was too good to be true. I kept wondering how he managed to read this much, and now we know he didn’t. He just read the reviews. I can stop feeling inferior for not managing to read as much.

    I find it especially funny that he was found out for writing something that was clear and easy to understand. I’m sure there’s a less for us all somewhere….
