The freaks at Naked Capitalism have gone completely soft in their sad little excuses for heads. They are now blaming the war in Ukraine on… Estonians who, they suggest, have somehow organized the hostilities with the purpose of money-making.

Yes, those Estonian – masonic bastards totally own the world.

Just in case anybody is still wondering where I find all those Putinoid Lefties.

Even though there are not very many ethnic Estonians in the world you find them everywhere. They also are disproportionately involved in internet technology. So they have that international thing going for them. The last time I was in Estonia in 2005, one of the guys I met there had even lived in Africa for a bit while waiting for the restoration of the independence of his homeland. But, there are very good reasons why the Estonians do not have fond memories of the “Russians” during the Soviet occupation.

Shit… Nice piece of propaganda. Technically it does not accuse anybody of anything, but creates this taste of a conspiracy with multiple hints. And great logic – Ukraine is corrupt, but corruption should not be fought because someone may make some money selling e-state solutions. Corruption should be fought strictly by 100% idealists 100% for free. The fact that the existing non-idealists actually made Estonia 10 times less corrupt than Ukraine is totally ignored.
I also laughed a lot reading about Jaanika Meriloo’s boss So’rumaa “private army”… This is not Blackwater Inc (secretly fighting on the side of Ukrainian fascists, of course), this is an army of mall cops and the money-car drivers…
But, as a patriot, I am always all for Esto-Masonic conspiracies. 🙂 🙂

I know you’d like it. 🙂 Estonia comes out as quite a superpower in this article. I can just imagine those evil Estonian conspirators, controlling the world and laughing at all of us. They sure managed to conceal their superpowers long enough.

Stay alert, folks. The private army of fierce Estonians are coming your way!

Yes, Estonia is powerful, it sort of got into the league of “real bad guys” as opposed to “ridiculous people who are wannabee bad guys”. Estonia managed to turn cyber conflict of 2007 to its advantage, and now we have NATO cyberwarfare center. It get’s hacked every now and then, of course, by “CyberBerkut” and the likes. But those who hack it are almost as proud as when they hack the Pentagon.
Speaking of Estonians and conspiracy theories… there is this series on TV (I mean in north America) called “Person of Interest”. They had all-mighty Estonian mafia in one of the episodes. Of course they seem to know nothing of Estonia and all their Estonians had some generic East-European sounding names. But they were, appropriately, involved in computer-related crimes. 🙂

          • Look, as stereotyping goes, you are getting the really nice kind of stereotypes. It’s much better to be Aarne, the hacker than Vanya, the alkie, or Natasha, the whore. I’d take your stereotypes over ours any time.

We have a good PR department. You may not believe it, but I saw it with my own eyes: Once in the middle of Jon Stewart show, Jon Stewart literally said – “and happy birthday to Estonia, a small country with a very good PR department”. 🙂

I blame it all on my good friends Tunne and Mari-Ann Kelam. 😎

Yes, I first met her in California back when her name was Rikken in the 1980s. Then I spent some time watching her house in VA in the summer of 1986 while they were on vacation. I lost track of her for a little while after that. But, the internet is a wonderful thing. In 2003 I went to Estonia to do some research in their archives and visited her and her new husband. In 2005 I had a conference in Tartu and visited them again.
