Whodunit?

When I told N about the murder of the dissident in Russia, his first response was, “Are they blaming Muslims yet?”

It took a few hours, but N knows his former compatriots well and now they are blaming Muslims. Nemtsov was Jewish, so it will not be hard to create some weird narrative around this.

Another official version is that Nemtsov was killed because of an abortion he forced someone to have.

I’m still waiting for Jen Psaki, the object of absolutely irrational hatred in Russia, to get worked into the story of Muslims and abortions conspiring to kill Nemtsov.

  1. No, Psaki per se has not been mentioned yet. But one can already hear the hints about “those who would stop at nothing to destabilize our country”.
    Putinoid mode on:
It is the Ango-Saxon Jewish conspiracy. They are constantly accusing us of helping Novorossia, without any proof, but it is them who started this war in the first place, by supporting the coup that ousted the lawful President Yanukovich. First they shot down the Boeing and pinned it on us. But those Europeans were not impressed enough and were not ready for tougher sanctions and for supplying weapons to Ukraine. Greece and Cyprus even broke the ranks altogether… The best they could do was to force the Estonians, the complete American marionettes, to allow that American military parade in the historic Russian city of Narva. But who would take that seriously? So they needed to make another attempt at convincing the world that our country is truly evil. And to insult our special forces they did it on their professional holiday.
    Putinoid mode off.

      1. But of course, the Russians, in their endless benevolence, released alleged Estonian spy Kohver yesterday. And see for yourself – he immediately did something horrible to serve his American masters…

          1. They did not release him. But otherwise he is real. The story is several months old. Estonians claim he was abducted from the Estonian side of the border, Russians claim he was captured on the Russian soil. And not everything that sounds Jewish is actually Jewish. Kohver means “suitcase”… Borrowed German Koffer…

              • The same story as Savchenko, isn’t it? They are so predictable.

              1. Yep. Senior officer of … whatever it is called we have… personally crossed the border with a gun and 5000 euros to pay his informants…

              2. They are mentioning Islam, the freaks: “Следствие по делу об убийстве Бориса Немцова рассматривает в качестве версий преступления как политическую провокацию, а также исламско-экстремистский след, внутриукраинские события, коммерческую деятельность, заявил “Интерфаксу” официальный представитель Следственного комитета России Владимир Маркин. . . Кроме того, по его словам, “тщательно отрабатывается и версия, связанная с исламско-экстремистским следом”. “Дело в том, что у следствия есть сведения о том, что Немцов получал угрозы в связи с его позицией относительно расстрела журналистов редакции журнала Charlie Hebdo в Париже”, – отметил представитель СКР.”

And when did they ever guide themselves by reason and logic?

  2. And by the way, I predict that “Muslim trace” will not be considered very seriously. With Kadyrov, the most vocal supporter of Putin and supplier of cannon fodder to East Ukraine, having in fact built an Islamic state in Chechnya with Kremlin’s funds. And all this talk about Russian Orthodoxy and Islam standing together against the decadent West…
And if the suspected killer actually happens to be someone by the name Ahmed, for example (which is not unlikely, given what I said above about Kadyrov), we can expect a mass “Je Suis Ahmed” campaign in Russia.

    1. There are Kadyrovites but there are also the Chechens who are fighting on the Ukrainian side. I just saw the video of them in the field, yelling slogans in Ukrainian. 🙂

The Russian neo-Nazis will appreciate any anti-Muslim gesture from the Kremlin so it will all depend on whether Putin needs them.

My first thought was “who?” Then I realized she’s the press secretary. The first thing that comes up is a Buzzfeed article by Max Seddon.

And I’m not sure why there aren’t air quotes around “Russian backed rebels.”

    1. You’re right, Psaki is barely mentioned on the news here. But in Russia she causes a frenzy of comment every day. When she hurt her foot and appeared in a cast, there was a flood of extremely nasty comments in the Russian media and social networks. Then she coughed during a speech and again they went into an overdrive. They seem to think she’s some sort of a hugely important political figure and a great threat to them.
