Russia’s Volunteer Movement Is Like Everything Else in Russia

The Russians decided they will not be outdone by Ukraine ‘ s extraordinarily effective volunteer movement and started organizing humanitarian aid for people who are suffering from the horrifying forest fires in their country.

Among the things that volunteers donated for sending to the victims were a US flag, a device that promises to make women’s breasts firmer, a G-string, and pompoms. The organizers of the volunteer effort are reminding the volunteers that donating humanitarian aid and disposing of unwanted items are not the same thing.

Clinton and Russia

Putinoids make an attempt to smear Hillary Clinton in Putin ‘ s favorite whore, the NYTimes*.

This tells me Putin is terrified of Hillary winning and wants a Republican in the White House**.

Of course, neither party will ever do anything to help Ukraine and honor the obligations that the US undertook within the Budapest agreement. But the Republicans are promoting everything that constitutes Putin ‘ s ideology inside the US, and he wants to see a regime that is friendly to his ideas.

Plus, the Republicans are known for collapsing the US economy and massively strengthening Putin ‘ s regime as a result***, so what’s not to like?

Stay tuned and I will soon be able to tell you which Republican candidate is Putin ‘ s favorite.

* I could do a detailed analysis of the article to show why I think it’s Putin-pleasing, but what’s the point? If people who read the newspaper still don’t see which way it leans, I can’t help. I’m still trying to convince some folks that The Nation is Putinoid, even though it’s more obvious than Putin ‘ s botox.

** This is only one of many pieces of evidence that Putin is hysterically opposed to Clinton taking the White House.

*** During the global economic crisis of 2008-2009, Putin ‘ s regime experienced an enormous boost. The argument of “look how well we are doing compared with the hapless Americans” was reiterated several times a day, every day in Putinoid media.

People, be smart, this is a very important election. I understand it if you are not wildly enthusiastic about Hillary, but don’t you want to stick it to Putin?

Just Like

Somebody on Facebook is asking why Ukraine is not “like Ireland.” I considered asking why the author of the query isn’t like a human being with a functioning brain but decided not to be cruel.

Modern Management

Several of my friends in the business world have told me that modern management is taught to keep its distance.

“You are supposed to live at least fifty miles away from the facility,” one told me. The idea is to not be influenced in decision making by any personal attachments to the people who work for you.

The friends in question are idiots and losers who have managed not to notice that Fordism is dead and gone. Successful managers today barf when they hear the expression “human resources” and don’t see their employees as conveyor belt workers.

The businesses that thrive today are the ones where the humanity of the employees is not only acknowledged but supported in its quirky, rich variety. I just spent the weekend with an employer who is helping her worker finish his dissertation on Canadian poetry while assisting another employee with running his personal blog (that has zero relationship with the business, obviously), etc. This is what real modern management looks like.

Bidding War

The US and Russia are now in a bidding war over who gives a bigger handout to Greece in return to its allegiance.

The Greeks are now openly whoring themselves out to the highest bidder.

Tel Aviv

I knew that the Star of David had to be integrated into the Ukrainian trident sooner or later:

This is very heartwarming.

By the way, the Parliament of the Ukrainian Republic back in 1918 would not pass any legislation unless the Jewish lawmakers were present at the sessions. Did anybody else make efforts at that time to give representation to Jews in a national parliament?

My Gift to Myself

These are the cutest shoes known to humanity, so I gave them to myself as a birthday gift.

But then I also found another pair that’s also cute. So I got that as well.

My sister has this effect on me.

Gay Teacher Fired in Russia

A court in St. Petersburg denied the request of a music teacher to be reinstated in her job. The teacher had been fired for being a lesbian. The judge ruled that the teacher had committed an immoral act by posting a photo of herself hugging her girlfriend on social media. In the court’s eyes, this made the teacher guilty of “propaganda of homosexuality.”

Now let’s wait and see if The Nation reports on this. I’m kidding, of course. There is no point in waiting for the Putinoid rag to care about gay rights under the regime of The Nation’s idol.

The Problem with Hillary. . .

. . . is that she’s only been in politics from 2001 to February of 2013. And that’s a very short time for a politician to mature. Besides, it’s not like she’s known for any phenomenal achievements either as a senator or as Secretary of State.

Yes, I know there is nobody else but that doesn’t mean we should not discuss the limitations of the existing candidate.
