“What possessed you to plant sunflowers?!?” Basia exclaimed. “Sunflowers symbolize Ukraine, and you’ve got to know that whenever there’s something Ukrainian, somebody will try to take it away. So of course the rabbits and the deer are trying to eat them!”

Here in the UK there are shops that sell “seed bombs” full of a variety of seeds, including sunflowers …

Why have a gardening allotment when you can terrorise the landscape with “seed bombs”?

[keep in mind that unless you can find these as empty containers, US customs inspectors will not appreciate any attempts to smuggle these into the country, but perhaps you can find them in the US as well …]

    Also, there’s this:

Perhaps you could dye the seed bombs with the appropriate colours …

I’ve tried to use something like this to plant grass over the bald patches but have failed miserably.

A “super soaker” full of seeds, one patch coloured yellow, another coloured blue?

        It’s worth a go … 🙂

          • I could make this one work FOR SURE. Even if I have to stand next to it all night long, scaring the birds away.

[now imagines Clarissa and N joining forces to create the Roomba Bird Turret in order to “scare” the birds away with a Roomba-driven siege engine …]

Circumstances will turn you toward engineering yet … 🙂
