Heh, I haven’t managed to reach this level of closeness with my love in 7 years. I’ll pack their backpack when we go mountain trekking, but that’s because I’m the one that sets up the pace when mountain trekking and also the one in better shape, so if they have trouble keeping up the pace, it only makes sense for me to carry their pack, and therefore it only makes sense that I help them make it as light as possible.

Seven years didn’t do it for us either. 🙂 We took 8.

It’s also both of us’s first serious relationship, so we’re also working against that disadvantage. Hell knows it took me until year 5/6 to stop trying to meld into the Relationship as a way of avoiding the stuff that made me feel deep unhappiness. Considering this, we’ll be lucky if we can pack each other’s suitcases on our 10th anniversary 😛

As long as everything else is good, I’m sure the suitcases can wait. 🙂

The suitcases can wait forever as far as I’m concerned. I mostly care about us making each other way happier in the seven years to come than we made each other in the seven years that passed,

Hmmm. 2 responses:
Had a former boss who used to vacation with his wife in Korfu. They packed toiletries, no clothes.
My wife and I share one suitcase for the both of us on short trips.
