Exports

Turns out there’s a ban on exporting crude oil from the US. Extreme weirdness. Everybody needs to export as much oil and gas as possible to help Putin collapse like a rotted-out carcass already.

    It’s true US crude oil can’t be exported because of a federal law. But once it’s refined to say gasoline then it can and is routinely exported.

    There was a concern that firms like Goldman were manipulating supply in order to drive up domestic prices.

    Exporting refined petroleum products is better for the U. S. economy, certainly, than exporting crude.
