What Is Your Canadian Party?

I just did the Canadian political quiz kindly linked by reader Shakti and it turns out that I am. . . a huge, card-carrying Liberal. Yet again, the result is unsurprising.

Of course, I’m only more Liberal than NDP by one percentage point, so that’s not a huge distance.

  1. I am 89% Liberal, 83% New Democrat, 82% Green, 73% Communist (?!?!?!?!?), 67% Libertarian, and 69% Bloc Quebecois.

I don’t know what to make of that.

  2. not knowing (or caring to be frank) a lot about Canadian politics and guessing on some issues that I didn’t know the particulars of very well..

    Liberals 79
    ND 78
    Green 76
    Communist 67
    Conservative 56

Not sjure what to make of that.

  3. I am not sure how I managed to do this, but apparently I sided with the Libertarians on 71% of issues, the Bloc Quebecois on 64% of issues, the Conservatives on 62% of issues, and everything else is below 40% …

Fortunately I’m not Canadian, so I won’t be confusing the already confused politics, and apparently none of the parties agree with my economics, which is not surprising since I prefer to buy my politicians anyway. 🙂

  4. 93% Green, 92% NDP, 89% Liberal, 88% Communist, 17% Conservative.
The Greens are smarmy eco-fascists led by a tinfoil hat wearing weasel with a narcissism problem, but since they’re trying to court the student and Aboriginal vote right now with a re-hauling of their platforms, I’m not surprised I scored so highly.

  5. 90% NDP… and 95% Bernie Sanders on the US one, and I let my most moderate side answering both surveys. I hate being so predictable.

      1. And the lowest score was Ted Cruz at 5%. But now that I do not follow US politics much I do not know what that means.

I am watching NO-DO newsreels for my Spanish Cultural Studies Class. Fascinating archives. But as much as I enjoy teaching this course I miss teaching literature. There are so much more cultural/political/economic/social aspects to get out from a literary text.
