Carson seems to be angling for a veep spot on Trump’s ticket.

Bush is a rerun of Romney. Fake, vapid, struggling to look charming and only managing to look creepy.

Everybody else has zero chance.

She looks competent. And her party’s base never saw any competent women. That will scare them away.

Well, at least the Republicans have the guts to have debates. 🙂

Somebody should ask Debbie Wasserman Schultz what the Democrats are so afraid of.

There are 15 Republican candidates and 2-3 serious Democratic candidates. There has to be more debates from the Republicans to narrow the field. The Democrats are proposing 6 debates. I think it’s silly that anybody (and I’m referring to liberals here) wants more than 6 debates for so narrow a field.

Have you noticed that at least three of those debates are buried on weekend nights? I (actually don’t) wonder why…

And no reality TV stars will be invited. Hmm… might they be trying to have a serious debate? Funky!

Can you be sure that Trump won’t decide he’s really a Democrat before the November deadline to get into the Demo debates?

Then more than a dozen people might actually watch them.

From a personal perspective, I would rather watch weekend night debates. I always go out of my way to watch debates and I find it stressful to watch TV during the week. I was actually typing lesson plans as I was watching the debates and missed some things. As a general rule, I don’t really watch TV during the week. I can’t be the only person who has more time during the weekend.

I also prefer weekend debates. I have too much going on during weekdays.

Thanks Dreidel, this song is now stuck in my head:

So which candidate is the Republican electorate swooning giddily over?

I’m sleeping and right in the middle of a good dream
Like all at once I wake up from something that keeps
      Knocking at my brain
Before I go insane I hold my pillow to my head
And spring up in my bed screaming out the words I dread

I think people are pining for Reagan honestly. Reagan, St. Reagan, The Book of Reagan in the Reagan Library. The Bushes are nowhere to be found, except for sad Trilogy who really suffers by comparison.

      🙂 🙂 🙂

Well, at least “trilogy” is a real word, which is more than you can say for “dilogy,” which describes the only viable Democrat in the race. 🙂

You want some songs for the losing side in this election?

“I am woman hear me roar” (Hillary)

“Tears of a clown” (Biden) This is NOT a slam at his grieving; it refers to his performance in the 2012 Vice-Presidential debates, when a clueless Paul Ryan at least maintained an adult composure.

        “Song of Hiawatha” (Warren)

“Heat wave” (Gore — yeah, he might jump in if the Republicans bring back Romney.)

Sorry, I’m too lazy to post the relevant video clips. (And no, I’m not going to bed anytime soon. It’s only noon here in Arizona.)

Biden ate Ryan alive during that debate. And effectively ended Ryan ‘ s career. I enjoyed that debate.

The choice for Gore is spot on. 🙂

Yeah, Biden won that debate the same way Nixon won the first-ever Presidential debate in 1960 — if you heard it on the radio, and didn’t see Nixon’s sweaty five-o’clock shadow or Biden’s adolescent smirking. And yes, I saw both of those debates. 🙂

I thought Trump’s stock really went down tonight. He was a little less aggressive than normal, which is a mistake for him. Without his obnoxiousness he’s just a regular guy with no answers to anything. He represents the GOP id. He says things that nobody would dare to say and they love him because of it. If he tones it down he’s toast.

Fiorina did great but I don’t think she can make enough ground to get the nomination. VP, yes.

The person who really won so far is Rick Perry. First, because of his strong “Trump is a cancer” speech and second because he did us all a favor and dropped out. That showed he has dignity.
