Hillary made an inhuman effort and forced out a condemnation of Keystone XL. She is, of course, in favor but knows she has to say she isn’t to win the primary. This is, after all, the primary of who outdoes the opponents in populist screeds.

She also knows that Biden is going to enter the race — after he’s milked his public self-doubting persona for all it’s worth — and that the VP will have no choice but to defend Obama’s record on TPP and other issues.
I’ll give Hillary credit for one thing: she’s as cynical as they come.

I have never thought Hillary was in favor of the pipeline. What makes you believe she is?
In fact, I have always believed that she would take either position that she thought would get her more votes, but I always had the feeling that she was opposed to it, viscerally.

She’s traveled a lot, her vision has to be less parochial and more in tune with what’s happening in the world. And the world is stunned by what is called “the American fuel revolution” that is reshaping so many things. Checking out of this enormous possibility for visceral reasons looks very unlike Hillary.
