Another Debate, Anyone?

So is anybody going to be watching the GOP debate #4 tonight or is everybody done with the debates?

I feel like I know all that the candidates will say but it’s still hard for me to stay away even though I have recorded several Law & Order episodes that I’ve never seen before.

Following political news is my compensatory mechanism, like alcohol, pot, gaming, or working out is for other people. When I was moving to the new house, I was do exhausted, for instance, that I read news articles obsessively for up to 6 hours a day.

I never watch live debates, just record them and fast-ward to the good parts later.

Lots of Law & Order episodes on tonight (I’ve probably seen them all), and I always record them so I can fast-forward through the commercials. (I’ve seen all the commercials a thousand times, too.)

But I’ll be trolling your website during the main debate, because somebody has to defend the Republicans against all the mean comments that will surely be posted.

(The kiddie-table debate is going on now, if anybody cares.)

  So who’s your favorite police and ADA on L & O? My favorite ADA is still Ben Stone. And my favorite police is Van Buren. They both have the coolest voices.

    Police? Cranky old man Jerry Orbach (Lennie Briscoe), of course (the best one-liners by far)
    
    ADA: Sam Waterston (Jack McCoy). His character’s emotional affect is amazing — somehow, even when he’s supposed to be ragingly angry, he always seems inwardly calm and disinterested.
    
    ALL of the female DA’s are completely interchangeable: all young and very skinny with beautiful faces.

      So true on the female DAs. Except for a single one, they all have the exact same hair. It’s creepy.

I am an election junky. Not necessarily a political junky but an election one. Once it’s election season, I can’t stop. I check statistical predictions, read all the election news, watch the debates. It’s addictive!

I’m behind though. I haven’t seen the last Republican debate and have to work late tonight. But I think I’m going to have a slow and relaxing weekend next week. So I plan to watch both Republican debates–and read Clarissa’s commentary of course (as well as shake my virtual fist at Dreidel’s comments.) 😉

  Ah, Evelina, it’s bedtime in Arizona, so I’m calling it a night. If you’ve recorded the debate while you were working, and are planing on watching the playback on your DVR later, please feel free to comment positively or negatively on anything that I, or any of the other (relatively few) observers have said.
