Fourth Review

Wow, it turns out there is now a fourth review of my first book. It came out in a very good, important journal, and the author is, again, an important older academic. The review is hugely laudatory.

This doesn’t suck at all.

Congratulations Clarissa! You know how to write well, or we wouldn’t all read your wonderful blog and of course you know your subject very well so you deserve the academic accolade.

  Thank you. I sometimes publish parts of the new book on the blog, and nobody seems to notice any difference between blogging and academic writing. And that makes me very happy because that’s my goal. I don’t want to be one of those jargony, incomprehensible academic writers.
